Moonface Entertainment
African Entertainment Gold Coast Queensland
Moonface Entertainment was launched in 2008 on the Gold Coast, Queensland by a young African man, Tewodros (Teddy) Fekadu. After arriving in Australia in 2003, he began assisting community-based organisations in resettling African refugees to the area.
As part of Tewodros’ work, he founded and is currently president of the African Communities Association Gold Coast Inc. (established 2006). The primary aim of the association is to share African traditions and heritage with the community through performance, education, training programs, and festivals. |

Tewodros is an author whose first book was published in 2007 in Ethiopia. The book is titled Wasurenai which means “can’t forget” in Japanese. The book is written in Amharic (Ethiopian national language) and is the true story of his remarkable friendship with another Ethiopian man while being held in a Japanese immigration detention centre in 1999. If you would like to know more or to purchase a copy of the book, click here.
Tewodros’ second book titled No One's Son was released in October 2009. No One's Son documents his extraordinary life growing up in Ethiopia and Eritrea where he faced the harsh realities of abandonment and civil war, then travels abroad to pursue the meaning of a worthwhile life. Visit the No One's Son website to learn more about his incredible journey.
Tewodros also works on documentaries and films related to East Africa and Tewodros regularly returns to Africa to shoot footage for his projects.
Moonface Entertainment is the natural progression of Tewodros’ passion for enriching people’s lives. It formalises the work he has been doing for years, providing a platform for reconnection and new growth within the community.
